So this is a weird thing I’ve started to do.I feel like I’m never fully satisfied with my mugs and espresso / cappuccino cup situation. It’s either too design forward, or too quirky. My most recent solution has been finding random cool cafes in nooks of the world that I want to someday visit, and scouring their online stores for cups and saucers to buy.
At a weekend away with friends and we’re at a place with identical all-white mugs and people keep losing track of whose is whose. Collect funky/colorful/souvenir mugs! I like finding cool mugs at the thrift store. Or getting one to remember a trip. They’re practical and fun
I used to be a bit of a “flowers are a waste of money, they’ll just die” person. But now Im shocked at how much joy they bring me. I’ve had an awful week and then living overseas from my family is made harder around holidays. So I marched myself to the flower market in my neighborhood and got some for myself. I smile to myself every time I see them and I think that’s well worth the money in a hard time
Living walking distance to a restaurant you love. Maybe one that’s just ever so slightly overpriced, but not overpriced enough to stop you from going just a time or two more often than you should. I love having a go to spot for a special evening
