You can get very cheap ones and very expensive ones, the cheap ones are perfectly fine. The best and worst part about owning one is that you are incredibly limited on what you can achieve with it. I find myself refraining from asking the man in front of me waiting for coffee if I can scan the back of his shirt, or if I can scan the fur pattern of a passer-by’s dog, and so on, but also wishing I could scan un-scannable things like fluids or plants. I definitely wear a new set of eyes when I have this in my inventory. Photographed is a scan I took of a burnt mossy tree stump.
