the whole Twilight movie saga…

it is objectively so bad, yet there is a part of me that cannot part from it, I have to rewatch it at least once a year, it is truly iconic. and hey, I can definitely tell you all the reasons why it is bad, both the movies and the books, but I think one can enjoy a piece of bad media while realizing how wacky it is. sometimes life is about fun too

good bad: twilight, for obvious reasons bad good: TAR. hot take i know. yeah cate blanchettes performance was good, but i just don’t believe that anyone ACTUALLY enjoyed this slog of a film

do not watch the new mean girls

songs stink. insane amount of product placement. does that thing where it tries (& fails) to portray tiktok/social media and it just comes off as embarrassing. confusing target demographic. only went to see it because i felt like going to the theater w/my friend. not worth the money at all. spend ur time watching something better

PROM + CONTACTS

prom went amazingly, i didn’t win prom queen but i was runner up. number 1 was being a sneaky snake and i got too caught up in having fun so i couldn’t care less. wearing contacts is so fun bc i can see fully and i love them but it took me 10 mins to put them in and it was so hard to get them out i started to freak out. thank god for tiktok or else they’d probably still be in my eyes. thank you for the kind tips i received here too, made it easier for me to overcome my fear of contacts 😇

yall i got my eye contacts today after thinking they’d never arrive in time for prom BUT they actually did and i’m a little scared. my dad had told me no long ago but i bought them w my own money. IM SO EXCITED BUT SCARED!!! do they hurt? will i go blind?(they’re my correct prescription, i’m just dramatic) will i look prettier w/o my glasses on the whole night? i’m also running for prom queen so let’s see if this queen can see.

CRAZILY ENOUGH…

my dad doesn’t like movies at all. he watched one american movie about how africa depended on trees for everything and that we’re all like monkeys and didn’t watch anything american again, unless i forced him to when i was younger. both him and my mom love nollywood movies tho (we’re not nigerian)
