A big chunk of my wardrobe is Formula 1 merch (seriously, a big chunk). Another big chunk is merch from artists I love. I have a pair of earrings that are an obscure reference to my favourite tv character. I own at least 3 t-shirts I bought because I saw people I admire wearing them. I once bought a dress because it reminded me of the Bones and All Venice Film Festival poster. I rarely buy clothes unless for practical purposes so if I’m buying something for vanity purposes I want it to mean something to me. It’s not at all for other people to get to know me, it’s just nice to like stuff and incorporate it into my day to day :)
Genuinely so silly but makes me feel some type of way when someone actually goes and makes a purchase based off a rec. Like helping people find clothing that they like + that’s a reflection of their style + that can age with them feels like my life purpose. Can’t wait to see all the fit pics you pull off brendanooooo
it's fun for me to go look at expensive things and try to get a feel for why they're expensive. some of it is better fabric, some of it is well-made, some of it is well-designed, some of it is just hype. alternatively; thrifting. the same, except if you find something that doesn't smell, you can buy it!
