It’s my mom’s favorite movie and in my dad’s top 5. Just watched it for the first time while visiting for Easter and WOW, I did not expect to like it this much. It’s funny and smart and action-packed. And at the end of the day, it really is a movie about guys being dudes.

And i like how susan sarandon is just as important if not even more vital to the movie than kevin costner and tim robbins. Their dynamic and the structure of the movie is such a good ride and is so incredibly funny. I recommend this to everyone I know

Watching this movie sort of felt like a rite of passage for two reasons. 1. I guess it’s a quintessential Canadian stoner movie. And 2. It’s a movie my dad has been referencing since I was a little kid. Obviously, some of the jokes in this movie haven’t aged too well, but overall I’d say it’s a real fun movie that can be surprisingly sweet at times. I had a ball. God bless Micheal Ontkean. I’ve actually posted about this at least once before on here and I don’t feel it got the love that it deserves. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It is depth full, but also charming and funny. Stacked cast as well!
