i love working from home dont get me wrong, but it's tooo easy to accidentally become a hermit who never leaves now that i'm out and about going to our office downtown im way more likely to grab a coffee with someone or hang after work. not to mention it gets me out in the fresh air. update: just biked to work, amazing

This is why the hybrid setup is ideal for me. I get a few days of collaboration, and then I get a few days of solo work where I can focus on what I need to get done. And yeah, the hybrid system gives a hybrid approach to your social calendar too. :)

i feel this I literally locked myself in my apartment making music for the last 3 months. No friends, no social life, just vibes. Hopefully it pays off. In my Frank Ocean, pre-Nostalgia, Ultra Era. Or maybe grimes Visions era.

work is not in MY HOUSE it’s a silly place i go. listen to a podcast! enjoy the magic of public transit! bask in the shared situation with your other cogs in the machine before going click clack at a computer all day.

I forget it all the time, but actually working in public spaces once in a while is crucial for motivation and mental health. I’d say no less than once a week, but realistically it’s once a month. (Hope this rec will remind those of you who work from home to go out 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️)

As I’ve said in previous recs I just got a part time job and I really only have to go work with my boss once every other week, the rest is wfh. The bonus is that she lives off of Central Park west which is such a treat on sunny days to go spend my lunch laying in the sun, and because it’s only twice a month it really keeps the novelty alive. Weeeeeeee!!!

tomorrow PI.FYI launches to the public this project is the result of thousands of hours spent coding everything from scratch after I got laid off six months ago no thiel-bucks or weirdo outsider money, just a pure desire to make something fun and true to Perfectly Imperfect’s day one goal of helping people find new things from real human beings, not algorithms or AI a pure labor of love that I’ve been quietly plotting for two years and it’s completely self-funded from my (rapidly) dwindling savings account so thank you for coming along for this weird ride 🫶 let's see where it goes
