i have a cool idea for creating a zine with collaboration w/pi.fyi weridos!! was inspired by people talking about a potential collaborative art/writing project with the site. I also've been wanting to create a zine that has the vibe of The Paper Rag by @/blue.jay.walker on tt/insta! Stuff about "escaping the algo" n such!!!

firstly, thank you so, so much for those who showed interest by interacting with my initial ask! it meant a TON <3
for those that didnât get to see the context, my dearest friend and i have decided to dip our toes in creating a team of artists for a photography zine, as weâve always wanted to create a community of like-minded artists where we encourage and inspire each other to create new pieces and challenge each other by exploring different themes and methodologies we may not have looked into otherwise. plus, we just love zines and always wanted to make one ourselves :D
we will be publishing our zine online and will be offering opportunities in the future to acquire physical zines for anyone interested in a copy~
as a sneak peek, our first issueâs theme will be âanalog distortion v.s. digital distortionâ :O

now i can actually add a rec to my own post! yesterday i went to a film screening at anthology film archives and watched zined! it was an comedic, down to earth documentary about average people making zines to document the music culture around them, state subversive political issues, create personal diaries, etc.
and it did feature some shots of kinkoâs!
