⭐Don't just reel in the good ol' days... let them consume you like a whale. No new generation can take lived experience turned nostalgia away from those who were really there. Stay up extra extra extra late, tossing and turning in bed, rattling your mind about a time you'll never get back (and probably wasn't even as good as the way you put it on a pedestal today). Will we get memories when we die?

✉️yesterday i deleted my message thread with my ex. i had it archived and no reason to look at it anymore yet still found myself doing so. i think ive always wanted to keep everything of anything ever. forever. but its a step to let go completely. im learning that letting go is as important as holding on. so delete that old conversation that just sits there giving you the option to remember. you can remember other ways:) the memories wont ever be gone
