Tokyo, the metropolis of sound, movement and culture. We experience the city through interviews with the world known photographer Nobuyoshi Araki, the game designer Shono, the musician Mayuko Hino and others. The participants give their view on Robotics, shintoism, "love hotels" and a photoclub specialized in images on mount Fuji.
a super cool documentary that shows us tokyo during the aftershocks of the 1990s stagflation through the eyes of artists, as well as "expert testimony" on japan from doctors. this documentary is slickly edited and captures a really interesting time before the world was highly connected through the internet!
its available on youtube and i linked it!
Started a journal for the first time in my life recently. Actually game changing, I see now why it’s one of the most common self help practices… like what do you mean I’ll remember to do stuff if I simply take physical note of it? HAHAHA.
Super generic answer but once I made my account last year I realised how poor apps like Twitter etc. are for communicating ideas. Like you can barely form a thought under 200 characters, let alone host an interesting discussion.
Substack certainly has its pitfalls & the notes side of the app can be a little mindless but overall it really encouraged me to follow through on ideas & discussions & journalling more often!
