@MARXINISTA hi sort of but not really… should i come back? i feel like maybe social media is better if i come around like a ufo and pass by just as people are forgetting about me
most people would recognize Hayter from her projects under Lingua Ignota, but SAVED! is able to generate an atmosphere that perfectly harbours the religious (particularly Catholic) motifs and sentiments of the Lingua Ignota projects in a sonic equivalent of a mildew-ridden, decaying wooden chapel where you can hear the unrelenting creaking of the floorboards with every minute step and shuffle. Hayter is able to ensnare the listener in such a disconcerting level of intimacy that gnaws at your skin until it's bleeding raw and tender. since it's an incredible body of work all around, i don't want to solely chalk the project up to an album that attacks your mental fortitude, but i will say one of its strengths is being able to agitate a unique sub-genre of "craziness" that it becomes a complete emotional hazard. unarguably my favourite album of all time!!
one-of-a-kind record that makes you feel a full spectrum. was a repeat listen during one of the hardest points in my life. separately – this is the best AI-modified piece of art that I’ve knowingly encountered so far
