She might be fleeting, but she is my favorite. There’s a bush I track in my neighborhood that is having its moment right now, and I’m visiting / sniffing on the daily.
I walk past them all the time on my way to class. Always catch myself heading in their direction to smell them even better. Very pretty, very fragrant.
You have to work for it, put your phone down and be in the moment. It is bitter and tough to eat but the slightly sweet tang keeps you coming back for another bit (slurp).
