I feel like middle aged or older adults have such a good sense of themselves, at least from an outside perspective. Everyone I know from family to co-worker to teacher who is within this age range is so easy to describe. Their characteristics are easy to point out and their personality is very clear. I feel like this isn't as true for young adults and teens and especially not for kids. Maybe it's because we're open to changing ourselves more and definition hinders our ability to grow. I feel like this is obvious but an observation non the less.

I feel the same way!! I feel like your 20s are just your late teens cause that’s when you’re REALLY figuring yourself and the world around you out. 30s is when you thrive and flourish. THRIVING THIRTIES!!!!!!!!! I can’t believe ppl think 30 is old cause it really isn’t at all.

@PISCESPRINCESS07 LITERALLY like I admire all of the folks in my neighbourhood in their 60s and 70s going on all sorts of hikes and trips because life doesn't end after your 20s!!!

i’m in my mid 20s but frequently meet 30 (and sometimes 40) year olds that are much less mature than myself, and i also meet 20 year olds that clearly have their life together more than i do. just try your best and try to act like the adult you want to be and examine what things in your life are keeping you from being them

one of the key indicators that i'm not doing well is that i'll start responding less to when people outside of my close friend group message me. and i dont think i wouldve understood this about myself if i was a teenager. idk im much more aware abt these things which makes it sometimes easier to navigate

Wanted to share this rather elaborate cake I made that I'm pretty proud of. This is a vanilla sponge and chocolate brownie cake with ganache filling and a hot cross bun gin and tonic buttercream with some cinnamon infused brown butter cookies and tonic sugar shards to boot. The sun hit the sugar perfectly at the time of photographing (:

I use it for everything, anytime I have the urge to pull up the notes app I turn to my notebook instead.

They’re an independent publisher and have some of the best surrealist contemporary poetry around. I particularly love Francis Bailleres writing and his book of liminal observations is some of the most original and interesting things I’ve read in a while.
