great to pass the time if you're fidgetty and find it hard to just sit and watch something. Last night I chopped all the way through the new Mobland episode. 8 garlic heads!! I'd also chop them but then I remembered I have a mixer

I can’t stand mincing/slicing garlic, but I am a garlic fiend so I have to at least triple the amount of garlic in any recipe I find. I have two separate tools (one is a grater, one is a thin mandolin) but I have seen similar gadgets that allow you to switch out the blade so you can have a multitool

My friend/sister Rapha inherited some of my precious books when I moved to Portugal, and reminded me last week of my scribbles as she picked up Alexandra Coelho to read. It's nice for friends because they get a glimpse of what moved you, a little snippet of your soul. It's nice for yourself as book owner because using a pen or highlighter is psychopath behaviour

I'm not a big fan of snacks -- I prefer actual meals where I end up overeating because I spent too much time between meals, not healthy I know, sue me πŸ₯΄ but once in a while the clouds part and I'll find luxurious truffle chips in the supermarket (usually fancier one) and I'll shamelessly indulge

Obviously everyone's attention span is shortening. the best I can do is read while having lunch out (once or twice a week). so short stories are the best format for this because they're the right length of a meal! I recommend anything by Joan Didion
