My asks? Inquisitive. My aura? Curious.
I feel sad because I feel like it’s an underutilized feature from the app and people should engage more with it :(
Thanks to the ones who felt inspired to answer either one of my asks or any ask whatsoever after seeing this, and also to the ones adding input so that it can be a more visible feature in the app. I think it has a lot of potential if we all feel inspired to use it. The old internet can’t come back if we don’t support what it has to give us
I have so many asks that I’d like to reply to when I can think of the perfect answer but I don’t know how to save an ask for later @TYLER please consider this as a feature 🙏🙏
agreed on this! the more serious asks looking for a specific thing are often left unanswered, we gotta share our collective knowledge and help out the homies
@TYLER It might be good to get a sense from other people that have been here for a while because this is purely anecdotal, but I used to answer Asks way more in earlier iterations of the site/app because it seemed like a more central feature. I can't pinpoint what it was, but it seems like the Asks page is a bit more buried than it used to be? As I'm saying this, I now see the Asks tab on the home page, but I think it used to stand out more.
@THECLACK Maybe one way to make it more visible would be to move it up in the hamburger menu list too? I have to scroll down to the bottom to get to it
Sometimes I think people miss the social part of asking people questions, if the person knows the answer or not there’s a lot of opportunities for jokes, improv, information, and researching together.
i try really hard to ask interesting questions — mainly because I hate small talk but also because a great question opens many doors and rabbit holes. a great question can catch people off guard, make them think and helps you learn so much about who they are and what they value. so when people say this to me, I won’t lie it feels great
