Digimon - Digital monsters
This just randomly came to mind. I remember watching this show as a kid before I was jaded in any way, and though it felt like a ripoff of Pokemon, I sort of liked that about it. While others were watching Pokemon, I was watching DIGIMON. Great theme song/animation style.

ones i’ve watched partially/fully in recent years: midnight gospel!!!!, bojack horseman, neon genesis evangelion (technically anime), clone high, tuca & bertie, daria, aggretsuko, old fraggle rock lol cartoons i loved growing up that i would still rewatch episodes from: old spongebob, powerpuff girls, phineas & ferb, scooby-doo, lilo & stitch the series, my life as a teenage robot, chowder

Start Anime at a random episode
before netflix and internet pirating you'd just turn on the tv and vibe check whatever was on. you'd be thrown into the most intense arc of a show having missed all the context, and it was honestly great. the point is, there have been a few shows i remember loving as a child that i just could not get into as an adult. it felt like a chore to watch and i realized—it's because i was making it a chore, as if i have to 100% run the series. i had that revelation, picked a random episode, and immediately i was able to enjoy it just like i did as a kid.
