my phone is actually on shuffle mode so it switches photos in and out all the time, but its currently set at this one with my friend and it has a funny story that comes with it! backstory: my friend couldn't get her new iphone to transfer her old info so we had to reach out to apple support using her macbook and the tech guy on the other end asked her to send a picture of what her situation looked like. we were trying to figure out to send a picture that would look decent enough to send to him because MIND YALL, her macbook is from like 2018; so the quality isn't too good. SO we ended up sending in that picture to him because it was our best take (it really was our best take we couldn't stop laughing on our other ones) and eventually he responded back asking to send in another image. Moral of the story is... she ended up going to an actual apple store to get help anyway the next day. 😭☠️

makes my phone feel tiny and futuristic, plus it flirts with danger like i’m smoking cigs or something. i’ve never felt so alive.

its so fun to look over and see what other people are doing on their phones. are they playing a weird game? scrolling through their own camera roll? watching instagram stories? look at the faces of the people on their instagram feed. do you know any of them? i might even read a text message that someone is sending as they type it out. its way more interesting than looking at my own phone.

Rage is such an inherently feminine trait and living with the subtle jabs and taunts at your mere existence should be enough of a reason to feel that anger. A woman who isn't angry is either submissive of her mistreatment or apathetic, both of which are not qualities I would want in friendships. So this is a rule I abide by. I may not necessarily only befriend people who explicitly call themselves feminists but i trust angry women more. A girl who cannot stand up for herself wouldn't do a great job at defending her friends, I believe.

Teared up thinking about how once you reach a certain age, people don't ask you about your parents anymore, and you are just expected to exist without getting to ask your mother for advice. Or there is a time in the future, my dad would not travel 2 hours to pick me up from my internship just because I caught a cold and my head ached. That I would have to live on in a world without either of them. Or that I would forget the sound of their voice and never get the warmest hug when my life is falling apart. There is a reason my screen time has never been lower than 7 hrs, and I like it that way.
