I work in a place where it’s just me serving coffees 8-4 Monday to Friday and I have met more people being nice to customers than I ever would have if I went to nightclubs or pubs.
okay this has been cool for me because
- i have somewhere to go to when i am bored with my work from home setup
- i have the privilege of taste testing their new stuff
- they give me free shit lmao
- we can share our cool hobbies/interests
- we get to talk about the craft which they're so passionate about or just have a wholesome conversation
it's really sweet now whenever i walk into the caffe nero next to my job they're all like hey meera london fog today? and i'm like hey guys yes please thx love u!!! i even got a free muffin the other day. it’s so awesome
i used to think being a regular was lame! but being a regular is awesome! i’ve been a regular at this coffee shop by my apartment for so long that “my baristas” are now just “my friends” :)
just to clarify, when you are splitting the G on a pint of Guinness you are not splitting the harp. it‘s called splitting the G, the G of the Guinness needs to be split.
