they came over to say hi, i turned to look at them and smacked my beer with my arm, spilling it all over them. to add onto it i was with a bunch of other people i don’t know that well. i bought them a drink to make up for it on a slightly related note a random person came over to my friend the other week at the bar the other week to tell him they liked his jacket. he said it then stumbled and spilled his drink all over the jacket. i saw it but didn’t hear what he said since it was loud. when i found out after i laughed my ass off

I was at the bar and my friend was telling me about this girl that her friend had a crush on and the description sounded vaguely familiar so I asked them to show me her Instagram and she pulled it up and put it on the table. I scrolled through to find a good picture and said “yes I do know her she’s-…right there” and I looked up and she was running towards me and I screamed her name and we hugged and made a huge scene. Definitely not slick wingman wise but I couldn’t help it because of how much of a coincidence it was. This girl was constantly on tour up and down the east coast and never in town really so we barely saw each other but always had a good time whenever we did. It was so random and felt cosmic. I introduced her to my friends and she hung out for a bit. Someone’s far away, “unattainable” Instagram crush popping up at the table, as soon shes brought up. It was so cool, I’ll never forget it.

my friends and i love a bit, so I was forced to approach a guy I thought was cute at the bar and buy him a drink. we got the bartender in on it (who turned out to be his friend, told me his fav drink and that he was single). We ended up chatting over paper planes for like an hour before I retreated back to my friends after we exchanged contact info. Alas nothing came of it, but either way, I've been riding the high of approaching a literal stranger in public since then and realized it wasn't as heinous an experience as I thought it would be.

during freshers week, you’re actively encouraged to party crash the fancy accommodation houses, so me and someone I was seeing visited a house of people we’d never met before. inside there was a quite reserved looking guy with a very upset vibe. he invited me over and we took turns drinking from this bottle of what was homebrewed vodka as we lamented on our lives. he told me he’d just found out his girlfriend had cheated on him. as an 18 year old with very limited dating knowledge i tried my best to console him, but he kept saying “it’s ok” and told me that everyone had to feel it to grow, and there was no anger in him to fight with what had happened. he told me i was a good kid as we both finished the bottle and hugged each other. i left maybe 30 minutes later and i never saw him again, but i think about that poor guy every now and then.

its crazy to me we are now at a point where major companies are actively putting measures into their products to make them hard or impossible to fix on your own. if you take it anywhere else to get it fixed your warranty is now voided. i just paid like $1000 for this phone. do i even really own it if nobody but the company i bought it from can fix it? better yet you bring it to them and they will essentially do nothing but quote you for overpriced parts you don’t need or more likely just tell you to buy a new phone. thanks apple!!!
