Lake Erie contains 2% of the Great Lakes' water but 50% of the fish, and Lake Superior 50% of the Great Lakes' water but 2% of the fish The deepest point of Lake Erie is a higher altitude than the surface of Lake Ontario (I promise they aren't all about lakes) At one point in 2008 the tallest woman in the world and the oldest person in the world lived in the same building in Indiana "Oxy" is Greek for smart, meaning the word oxymoron is an oxymoron Nobody knows what the p in pH stands for

I recently learned about the many types of water that exist, because I didn‘t know the difference. Unfortunately I cannot let you in on the same excitement to learn about them, because I am German and can‘t be bothered to translate them to English. I especially like „Weiher“ which I only recently learned existed. If you speak German, enjoy: - -Teich. Ein von Menschen künstlich angelegtes Stück Wasser. - -Stausee. Ebenfalls künstlich von Menschen angelegt. Groß. Der Wasserstand lässt sich kontrollieren. Hat eine große Talsperre (Staumauer). - -Pfütze. Kommt vom Regen. - -Tümpel. So etwas wie eine große Pfütze, jedoch füllt sie sich wieder, sollte sie mal austrocknen. - -Weiher. Tiefer als ein Tümpel und trocknet meist nicht aus. - -See. Großes Stillgewässer. - -Meer. Bekannt. Sehr groß.

I love geography. I love it when my friends know the capital to some country I have not thought about since my 8th grade geography bee. An obscure river? Yes, please. The tallest/shallowest point in a geographic region? Sure. It is broad enough where the difficulty can scale as low or as high as needed. It's my favorite category!
