being a gay boy in texas meant that life was never going to be simple. having an older sister has made life 100x better. shoutout to all the older sisters out there. yall are true soldiers and are truly the heavy lifters in the family. also shoutout to my sister for allowing me to take her car to drive our family to new mexico.

i’ve slowly realized i’ll probably never have a friendship as good as those i have with my siblings. my older sister and i specifically get along a little too well; we can be mirror images of each other at times. we started playing until dawn together, and it’s been fucking great. every night i’ve been looking forward to it. even though i can’t say i admire or enjoy my family as a whole, i do enjoy my siblings’ company. hell, probably the fact that my sister and i collectively critique the ways we were raised has made us closer. i’m thankful for that much. the only relevant photo i have is one of the back of my aforementioned sister’s head. you’ll never see this, but you’re the best mel.

Originally by Betty Hutton. I love the story of why Bjork covered this song and included it in her second album: Her and her band discovered Betty and this song in a truck shop, and they decided that this would be their pre-game song before every show.
