The instagram algorithm gifted me this song, no idea what 99% of the lyrics mean except for the hook of german-accented “Vhat Da Helly!” but he does say something like “2.5 ein mein spliff, strain is cali” and honestly thats enough for me. Half ironically half earnestly goes so hard
sick, garagey guitar thrum, a catchy melody and opaque lyrics. also further evidence to my hypothesis that a British accent is the optimum modality to sing a song.
I found him a year or so ago on TikTok because he was singing his song called ‘Wienerschnitzel’, which details him as a young Jewish kid taking the risk and ordering a bratwurst and eating it even though he knows that it goes against his religion As he bites into the food, he just waits for God to punish him. But nothing happens. As someone who has struggled with religion in the past, and still does sometimes, I really love how this song assesses shame in religion in a lighthearted way.
His songs sound like short films put to music.
He put an album out last July, and this another one of my favorite tracks of his. This one talks about trying to hold back on giving advice, rather than just comforting a friend. it’s just too relatable. love his stuff
This started as a faux “tattoo wishlist” but it has now become a collection of lyrics that mean something, anything, to me or I find funny or they just stand out. The most recent one, the beach house one, is really beautiful in a funny way to me. Like a sort of “but hey what do I know?” Some of em just sound cool I’m all sixes and sevens and nines idk wtf that means but its RAD
in tight contention for my #1 favorite physical activity, especially when your willing participant has a good ratio of scalp scratching and head squeezing to hair twirling. Can even outrank sex on a good day.
