I love being able to play video games when I can. I just picked up a couple: Heavenly Bodies, which Iām playing with my dad, and Little Nightmares, a single player game. I play them on my dadās PS5. I usually try to stay away from video games while Iām in school because of their addictive nature for me. However, since Iām home for the summer Iāve gotten back into playing. I hope to also play some of The Last of Us since Iām a lover of the show and am ready for some emotional wreckage.
update: Iām done with playing Little Nightmares! it was an interesting game; I love being able to play through games that have a story and clear progression.
Itās so soothing. The soft clacks of the controller buttons. Iām watching my bf play Elden ring atm, but I enjoyed watching my housemate play RD2 and growing up I watched my dad play desktop computer games and then my sister play RPGs on the PlayStation. Feel like a kid and watch someone play.
Alice Madness Returns - first played it in my first year of uni at 18 and it became my whole personality, recently replayed it and it basically happened again.
The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood - a recent play and the game that has me considering becoming a game writer
Deathās Door - dark souls for cutie pies. i just find this endlessly repayable because the controls feel so nice for me. Also the first āhard gameā I played that convinced me āhard gamesā arenāt out of my ability.
Final Fantasy X - the first āreal gameā I played on my ps2 when I was like 10. my friends used to make fun of me for not going out to play after school because I was doing anotber ffx replay.
Shout out to the spyro trilogy and Spiritfarer - the endlessly replayable basis for my favourite kind of gameplay, and the first game to make me cry, respectively.
even the smallest things may not seem to matter in the moment, but when you fast forward a bit, you may be trying to grasp the memory without any luck. writing things down, taking pictures, collecting, etc. is all so important.
Iām so glad I found this app. I was looking for a place where I can share more about myself without feeling judged by the people around me. now people can feel a connection towards me being truly myself instead of the mask Iāve been conditioned to put on for others. I imagine handing someone Iāve just met a paper with a link to this profile on it as a fun experiment
thereās some unity in being able to find other short people, or being a part of a āshort squad,ā but then thereās also my younger cousin who is outgrowing me. the pains of not growing are real sometimes. it is easier to make yourself taller than trying to make yourself shorter though, so I am thankful for that
