Genuinely forgot how good of a producer ARCA is like damn, besides numbers (Sampha u ate) she really worked on both songs like it was nothing. Ugh those beats genuinely scratch my brain in ways I can’t even comprehend, and OBVIOUSLY twigs gave a stellar voice performance, her head voice and nymph-esque voice 😍 let me stop myself right there bc this was supposed to be a short recommendation not a glazing ritual. TOODLES!😘

favs first listen: kinki figaro, johnny glamour, sophia, altagama, sukkkk!! And 99 per cent
The album is quite inconsistent but linear at the same time. It tackles the same genres but there isn’t a lot of relation between them. What I like the most though, is the production. It makes obvious the musical background of Rusoswky. It is vibrant and somehow very intuitive ,there’s no wow “I don’t know where the song is going” moments, but this actually works in it’s favour. The album feels like a mix of hot beats (insert fuck me from shygirl) and emotional classical instruments all mixed in with a giant Spanish guitar, a signature that is definitely more apparent that I would like. In it’s self is a ”good” listen for the spring-summer but I expected more. I thought I could find at least 1 intermission or smooth transition, I think that’s what this album lacks, a clear connection between each song. A good example of the opposite is pink pantherss last mixtape, it might be short but she managed to slot in an intermission and clear introductions to each track on it, make in it a more pleasant experience and listen, at least for me. This is my introduction to Rusoswky so I guess it’s not that bad , the pre releases stole the show though. 7/10 (please don’t take this to seriously)
