The 1982 box office flop the last unicorn is the best movie you will watch this month. Ignore the butterfly scene and the scene with the busty tree and the whole thing is ART. Watched it again tonight and theres just so much right with movie. corners were cut, actors were not taught to sing, Jeff Bridges delivers lines with signature disinterest but despite it all the bones of this story, the script and the story boarding are phenomena. Theres no bs, just humans contending with a world far beyond their control and ownership while a unicorn, both naive and wise, strives to save her people in the unbothered, matter of fact way an immortal must hold herself in the human world.
Fantastic watch, currently my favorite movie
