one of the first explicitly italian feminist novel and a rough read! weird to see how much has changed in 100+ years but also how some things haven't changed at all, still. highly recommend!

An inter generational tale set in Sicily about tormented women, class, wealth, obsession first published in 1948.
(I just finished Three Summers which was a great entree).
