iām a juliet has a gun girlie. particularly the original not a perfume scent but i also love the lily fantasy one. iāve preached abt it here before but my go toās are the perfume oils from possets perfume! my signature scent is ode to aphroditeāitās got clean almost soapy tones that are cut by oakmoss, sage and musk and yet manages to be sweet and warm in the end thanks to sandalwood. their silver narcissus scent also has the best floral notes ever in the world. i have no idea what the notes are but the site describes it as sweet and floral yet spicy and green. but honestly they has so many good scents at a good price that both lasts a long time and projects well.
niche, indie perfume house with an array of cool scents. ode to aphrodite is like musky but soapy but floral but sweet <3 in the summer sometimes i will wear silver narcissus by them, which is a bit of a sweet, slightly incense-y floral. in the spring i will also sometimes wear masque milanoās lost alice, which is like peppery and lactonic tea party notes. fall and winter i sometimes wear possets perfumeās passion, which is chocolatey. my go to lotion is palmers cocoa butter and i think it layers nicely with all these scents āŗpossets is a great brand cost wise bc perfume oils last longer in my opinion and a little goes a long way <3
my favourite perfume - Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Rose, Sandalwood. I love Jasmine and Rose so much, and I love how Jasmine can smell kind of gross. This perfume smells really different on different people and I always inexplicably think it smells like paper on me and I smell like an old library that someones left old flowers a bit too long in in a good way. Itās the perfume my bf thinks now smells of me. Itās affordable! But it stains my skin and any light clothing red/orange so I have to be careful with it. I also wear: M&S warm neroli - casual daytime. Neroli, bergamot, musk. Feels quite meditative. Blue and Shay Atropa Belladonna or Black Tulip - Both heady florals. The belladonna is sweeter than Iād buy myself but it was a gift and I wear it occasionally. The black tulip to me smells again like old flowers (although others have said it smells fresh so maybe Iām just weird). I generally prefer to smell a bit old and rotten than fresh and bright. i recently discovered Cherry Smoke by Tom Ford and Iāve fallen in love. Iāve been wearing it as my nighttime scent. Cherry, smoked wood, apricot, leather, olive. Itās sweet but smokey like a Manhattan. itās sexy as FUCK. But I absolutely cannot afford it once this tester runs out so itās a flash in the pan love affair. In terms of other scents - my laundry is always lavender cause wool moths donāt like it, and I usually always buy rose or jasmine scented body wash, but atm itās a huge bar of pomegranate soap that caskeyc got me for Christmas, and I like to burn sandalwood or jasmine in my room.
i love them so much and get almost all my scents from them. they have such a wide array of unique perfume oils, often historically and/or artistically inspired. theyāve got everything from
gourmands to sensual to incensey and magical etcā¦cost effective in the sense that their smaller vials don't break the bank and last months. their biggest size runs about $90, but i think thatās more than worth it considering how long they last. a little goes a long way. not only does it take me forever to finish a bottle, but the scent lingers and projects very well! theyāre also fairly generous with the samples (which i often enjoy and also last pretty long considering their size)
two women next to me on the train are having an insightful heart to heart. a guy behind me is clearly flirting with this girl and you can tell itās mutual. we all have rich, rich inner lives :)
