i will die on this hill. most ai sucks, and i cringe whenever i see ai art or an article so obviously written with it. however, as a programmer myself that always loves to learn new things, it has made learning so much easier. i loved school growing up. and i’ve always loved learning in a structured setting and with a clear curriculum. but once i left school, all that structure was gone. i still would learn things on my own, but i would always end up veering off onto something else or just getting discouraged because i would end up focusing on the wrong things. now this may be controversial… i dont use chatgpt much, but when i do i give it a goal, a time frame, and ask it what i need to learn. and then i ask it to split its answer into a weekly plan and boom! i’ve made my own curriculum. guided learning is now so much easier because i know exactly what to read about and research. i’ll sometimes even ask it to give me a ā€œhomework assignmentā€ so i can get in some ā€œlearning by doingā€.

In an age where we ā€˜make’ so much stuff to live as content for entertainment I’ve been enjoying making purely for learning. An artist I want to learn about? I’ll make a video about it. An old film process I’m interested in? I’ll write a page or two on it. Learning through making has me much more engaged with the topic I’m interested in as well as allows me to create stuff without the burden of worrying if it’s good. It’s like adult homework. And you can do it about anything. Highly recommend.

married by 25, house by 28, kids by 30, business by 32. who cares. youre not a child anymore. you don’t have to hit milestones. that’s the whole thing about being an adult, you don’t have to give yourself age deadlines. let serendipity do its thing. what is for you will find you. your journey is YOUR JOURNEY. how boring would life be if we were all setting the same goals and standards for each other? just keep moving forward. keep doing what YOU believe is best for YOU. keep growing, keep learning. time is going to pass regardless. but don’t ever let someone or society push their timeline onto you.

super fulfilling, and I love helping their dreams come to life. it's the best feeling. doing it with care, treating their brand like it's yours. friends helping friends build things is beautiful. and it works best when there’s mutual respect, clear boundaries, and appreciation all around. support each other with your skills, and make sure everyone feels valued in the process.
