i am lucky to while being in a suburban part of my city, i have a bus route to connects me straight into downtown. yes it takes longer than a drive on your own, but itโs $2 one way, $4.60 for one whole day, and quite reliable and not heavy on delays. we even have a free shuttle in the a portion of the city.
i have to take an almost hour long bus ride each way to uni everyday, but i feel like i can finally appreciate little aspects of my city (double decker busses are even better i feel like a little kid when i sit on the top floor)
I started taking the bus to work and I love it. the quality depends on the city, but I love that itโs cheap, fast, and better for the environment. And I donโt have to focus on the road. I can do whatever I want for 10 minutes ๐
idk how i came across this in my daily wikipedia surfs, but something about this painting just amuses me so much.
my first impression was this looks fairly modern in a way, possibly because of the composition and how she made her features so light and bouncy. it oddly made me think of disney when i looked for longer. then i see it was made in 1909 ๐
this painting can transcend times and i wouldnโt truly know when it was made unless i looked more closely at the objects around the subject. but even that can be a stretch as vintage items can be popular amongst anyone and they can just have their vanity setup look like this.
i tried looking for photographs of her online but alas nothing came up with certainty.
