“You can find me drifting slowly Sinking beneath the sea Try to catch my breath A silent struggle drowned in my apathy” I‘ve only recently gotten into emo music, and this is a perfect depiction of the resigned frustration so many people suffering from depression have. Not to mention an amazing switch up towards the end. Watched it in concert in Berkeley and the crowd surfing was insane.

“I wanna watch them burn it down So I can breathe again”
Yelling along to this song in my car has been the catharsis I needed this week.

i value repetition & loudness (volume & atmosphere) for my meltdown music . both of these songs (by julian casablancas & the voidz + sufjan stevens) have almost meditative flows that you can tap into especially when listening loud & on repeat , building until they are all encompassing . the heavy distorted riff in sadness & the mantra of i want to be well (i‘m not fucking around!) have been steady accompaniments to many of my meltdowns , spiritual & otherwise .
tbt to scream/crying i want to be well in the car on calgary highways 🤘🥲

Love the vibes of this channel. My favorite series of his is the “Unremarkable and Odd Places in ___”. He basically finds liminal space type places in popular video games and shows them off, and then muses about life for a while. As someone who barely plays video games, I still find the videos entertaining and oddly comforting. Overall it’s a very chill time.
