This is such a basic response I’m surprised no one has said it already, but truly a perfect mv for a perfect song. His smile at around 1:45 makes me want to weep. RIP
15 years ago today, Mark Linkous (aka Sparklehorse) took his own life.

I feel like not enough people know about Mark or his work. I wish they did. Yes it is sad and slow and yet somehow it makes me feel alive. Peering over the edge of a life only to affirm its very vitality.

This current trend of clean-tone shoegaze is drab. Shoegaze was at its peak when it sounded like vibrators being held up to the mic. I’m really really into this French band KG right now: They were active in the 90s and sound like MBV’s first album / The Jesus and Mary Chain. “Sex Toy Box” is a perfect song.
