- have a firm handshake. this is an unspoken way that a lot of self-indulged men like to measure themselves up against the person they have just met. don’t me afraid to squeeze their hands. - as dangerous as the “ask for forgiveness, not permission“ saying is, sometimes it is necessary as the older generation of men don’t want to hear what you have to say. - dress appropriately and conservatively, it is the only way to be taken seriously - stop apologising, because they don’t. - don’t let yourself be interrupted, call them out and declare that you haven’t finished speaking. - learn about their hobbies, it helps to appeal to their broad interests to strengthen your bond, because you need to make your mark (f1, golfing, etc) - don’t be afraid to lean into your femininity, the older men sometimes crumble when you bat your eyes a little and are more likely to agree or listen to what you have to say (unfortunately, but consider it a super power)

Not going to write another out of touch thinkpiece about how Rogan corrupted the youth since everyone with a Substack has beaten that dead horse already. Speaking from personal experience, I am okay, in that I am content with myself, and don’t think that anyone (especially women) owes me anything. I tend to keep sane company so I can say relatively the same thing about a majority of the male friends I keep, but men as a whole, in America? Nah. Too many men who think therapy is gay and have that grifter hustler Mister Moneyspread mindset. I have zero clue how you could solve the issues men face today, but do think a good thing would be for men to stop idolizing scammers and grifters. That shit not cool, no one should strive to scam, and yet we have an entire genre of men who make it their entire career to scam or get you into some crypto fintech startup that’s funny with the money. That’s a terrible indicator of where men are now.

I’m being fully FORCED to use AI on Google Office and it’s SO annoying. I don’t appreciate that after any Google Meets (which SUCKS by the way) that Gemini wants to send me a recap of the meeting. I DON’T WANT GEMINI ANYWHERE NEAR ME! Also, this AI Fiverr GO I keep getting force-fed in my YouTube Ads, that uses individual creators AI to generate content that looks like the content they’d create is absolutely insane and horribly dystopian. What happened to art? What happened to appreciating the human spirit, and learning from our mistakes? Idk, but I’m tired. AI could have been a really genius way for expanding our understanding of important issues, but instead it’s used just for people to honestly be lazy, and also creepy. Weird Note: People falling in love with AI is honestly really tragic. But, as someone who has a grandmother who has repeatedly fallen for scammers due to loneliness, I would rather have her fall in love with AI versus someone who’s trying to get (and has successfully gotten) her bank account information to slowly take money from her and string her along via horribly photoshopped photos and copy & pasted poems found off of google with her name added to seem unique. Just strange to say I’d rather have my grandma fall in love with a robot vs a scammer 😂😂.
