A Woman Under the InfluenceĀ is so authentically feminist and paints a clear picture of the subjugation of women and the stigma around mental health.Ā  Mabel’s character is written so fantastically; a woman who is full of love and is trying to pour her love into everyone around her. Struggling and yet consistently reaching out while those around her don’t have the capability to help her and not enough compassion nor patience to try and understand her.

black queer history is FULL of forgotten legends who have shaped mainstream culture and continue to have a lasting impact on fashion, language, art & performance.
Paris Is Burning immortalises and preserves the legacy and the stories of the people featured in this film along with the spaces, community and families they created for themselves in a society that consistently marginalised and discriminated against them. this is an essential watch!!!
