I just commented once and was only replied to once on this post. It does have an abnormally high number of comments but I havenβt gotten notifications like this before. I am following the person posting all of the comments, so maybe thatβs why. Perhaps you can make it so that if someone comments on their own post it wonβt notify people?
Noticed this twice today. When someone @ mentions me in a comment back on my own rec, two notifications are fired: 1. X commented on your rec 2. X mentioned you in a comment.
