I want to gift my dad a painting of me and him. It’s one of my favorite pictures of him holding me as a teeny tiny baby. But after drawing my head 2 times to understand my proportion, I feel weird.
Would she be proud of me now? I think she would. Or did I kill something in her, that will never see the light of day?

still in progress but felt like sharing. i was inspired to create this after a really nasty interaction with a professional artist that left me questioning my entire career.
i wanted to tackle the idea of making something beautiful out of something deeply painful. i've somewhat lost the fire i had for it, but i still really feel the imagery in my soul.
also built and stretched the canvas all myself!
