Sucks that they hurt you. Good that you are angry. Even better that you are talking about it so that it doesn't repeat itself. And if they do hurt you again, at least you've learnt more about what kind of person they are.

i did this with someone i thought really cared about me after they made me feel like dog shit. they basically gaslit me and explained 60 different reasons why i wasn’t right before finally apologizing. madness. i’m glad i know how they act in those situations before we got any closer or i trusted them any deeper.

@CHRONICWEBUSER Which is why it's so important to do! Really glad you did so and got to learn this soon in ur relationship. I've been having loads of hard conversations lately with many unsatisfactory responses but at least I now know what to expect and can decide on how to go from there

can be emotionally laborious but it is almost always worth it imo. telling someone how they made you feel is an act of kindness both to yourself and to the person who made you feel shitty. people will often surprise you with their responses

last night i had a difficult conversation with someone and i was able to fully say how they made me feel: mad, sad, etc. and i told them what i wished for even though i knew it wasn’t what they wanted.
after you get past the fear, keeping things to yourself is so much harder than being honest.
and both people feel so much better regardless of what was said<3 proud of myself !

As y'all might know, I'm a climber. Which is fun, cute, sexy and I recommend everyone to become one. Only downside is that it's def a male dominated sport. There's plenty of girls who climb, but a large majority (in our gym) is male. Meaning that the likelihood of going on an outdoor climbing trip without men.. is small. Unless, of course, you organise a girls-only climbing trip. I would highly recommend doing so. Men r great but it's also nice to only be surrounded by girls who know what's it like to climb when you have a menstrual cycle and don't have a natural knack for dynamic power. Made me feel supported, seen and connected.
