I finally got around to watching this movie and the fact that we moved on from this film is so crazy to me bc it's the perfect blend of kooky, freaky, funny, and satirical :)
I watched a free screening of Mickey 17 and wow it was amazing, Bong Joon-Ho has slayed again. It was funny, it was dramatic, the casting was perfect. I will be thinking of this movie for a while and I will def watch it again.
Saw in theaters, great movie! of course, Bong Joon-ho is a great director and Parasite being one of my favourite movies of all time, it wasn't anywhere near his best to me. it was actually a little bit over the top and chaotic, and I think it would be annoying to some because it does get kind of quippy. But I still think it had a lot of interesting commentary on imperialism and colonization, paired with some classic economic and class issue viewpoints (every movie of his I've seen seems to touch on it at least somewhat). so I recommend it! If anything it definitely got a lot of laughs out of me (and the little alien creatures are so cute oh my goddd)
Mickey17! I watched it directly when it came to cinemas near me, it really is an awesome movie. Parasite, by the same director, it's a little older though.
Also, I really wanna watch Flow, just because it's an indie production and I really like the animation style.
Blink Twice came out last year, but it's more of a horror movie. but I really enjoyed it! And The Substance, which came out last year, too, is a must watch.
I finally started a new job I've been wanting to for months, and I have been there for a week And I had a big breakthrough and I feel so good and so successful, I'm on cloud 9 and now I want to go into a coma all weekend and sleep bc I'm tired af LMAOOOOO I'm so so proud of myself
Even tho I've started wearing blush (I love my reds, pinks, and oranges 🤓), I am always caught with some purple/green/pink eyeshadow and a nude lippie 🤪
