I always like to take walking tours when I get to a new foreign city! They help you get a lay off the land and are cheap, usually you just have to tip the guide if you do one of the free walking tours. The guides are usually friendly and have recommendations of things to do/eat/drink that are useful for later in the trip!

🚤If you want a great and relatively inexpensive way to see a lot of the city’s architecture and street life, I’d go on a canal tour. learn So many cool facts about the city without having to walk everywhere :)
I’m also very partial to the coffeehouses, but that’s probably because I don’t drink and live in the US. Nothing beats a chill smoke sesh in a little cafe with a bev and some company!

Touristy places that lived up to the hype:
-Hungarian National Gallery
-Szimpla Kert
-Watching the sunset near the Prague Metronome
-Taking pictures of the Nutria (don't feed them)
-Vytopna Railway Restaurant
-Anonymous Shrink's Office
Not worth the hype (imo):
-Fisherman's Bastion
-Prague Castle (only the cathedral seemed worth it)
-Prague Astronomical Clock

I'm assuming you've never been before so here's a Truly Basic walk around central London that hits most of the major historical spots. All the big museums are free so if you pass one that looks interesting, go check it out, and some might be open late on Friday.

I met Erin (@RIOTGRRRL) and Jake (@SLOWDAZZLE) last year after I started using PI.FYI—we organized a meetup before a Jonathan Richman show and immediately clicked over our shared taste in music and similar sensibilities. We started hanging out a lot and had some great times together. I’ve also gotten to know many of their friends, who are all really cool. Erin and Jake started dating a couple of months after the three of us became friends, but our group chat still pops off. Their friendship has meant a lot to me, especially since moving to NYC in 2023, and I really appreciate having them in my life.
