this is a subcategory of "doing things by yourself" but i love going to the beach by myself and saying "no one 😇" when someone asks who i went with. its so nice to quietly enjoy the waves and rocks and shells and birds and butterflies and feel a silent sisterhood with all the other girlies by themselves. we are by ourselves together . staring at the waves 🙂↕️

Nothing is a better reset than sitting alone with the ocean. Growing up on islands gave me a love for the choppy waters that were never more than a few minutes away, and as an adult I’ve rediscovered the companionship that they provide. Sneaking to the beach on the way home from work or on a lunch break feels like getting away with something in the best way. The worse the weather and the rockier the beach, the better time you’ll have–especially if you have a warm car to retreat to.

it's no shade to working on your laptop at a coffee shop.....but can we all be honest and admit that sometimes it gets too overstimulating? and when i work on my laptop at the library i dont feel pressured to spend $8 on a bad iced coffee!
