Honey Island Swamp is located in eastern Louisiana, just before the Mississippi border. The swamp is full of old growth Tupelo and Cypress trees, some of which are estimated to be 700 years old!
The gulf coast is an extremely complicated region, and as Louisiana continues to be ravaged by climate change it feels more important than ever to engage with and appreciate the region-specific nature that exists in this area.
