I finished reading my book but dont have the next in the series yet so I’m rereading a book from my shelf from hs that I have fond memories of. It’s so nice revisiting books. 16 year old me had such a different experience than 23 year old me is having now and yet I find myself finding the magic of it all and peering through it from 16 year old me’s eyes. also challenging myself to finish this in three days or less, that’s something younger me excelled at and It’s honestly such a good feeling to read through a book and not want to put it down >_<

I have just recently gotten into reading, however I also hate not finishing things. A lesson that I continue to relearn is that you dont need finish the book that you hate. In those moments when looking at the cover makes you feel worse than you already did, stop, and don't pick it back up. Now I am much happier.

sometimes it’s a classic novel that would be good for me to read and i force myself to finish it, sometimes my book is due at the library and i can’t renew it anymore, sometimes it’s just terrible and i don’t want to read it. it depends, but usually if the book is really painful to read, i dnf
