yeah my layers are probably horribly uneven, but no one will be able to tell and I feel so free. thank goodness it is short again. I like when the hairdressers wash my hair but right now having saved that money is it's own high

@BIRDS I consider it every other month, and the fact that I'd have to go out and buy clippers has probably stopped me many times, I don't think I'll like it on me, but the feeling would be unbeatable I think

Was standing in front of the bathroom mirror the other day, looking at my own really long hair. The ends were looking dry and brittle—not cute, but my bank account: also not cute. So I went to my bedroom, grabbed some hair trimming scissors, came back to the bathroom, and started snip-snip-snipping away. I cut a little too short, so I look like a crazy blend of Dora/Katt Williams in his prime—BUT, I really like how light and healthy my hair feels now. So right there with you on the uneven-horrible layers. My sisters can definitely tell with mine, but like you said, I feel so free!

I cut my own hair n i got curly hair so it get a little complicated. But i cut it 2 short n im still happy, i feel like i cut off any typa ego i had left in my head. any bad memory, dead ends fried hair from bleachin, i feel like i can focus on myself cuz i relied 2 much on my hair 4 my looks. i might even freeform my hair idk what to do im so excited. Cutting my own hair

I don't trust anyone to cut my hair. I've had too many freaky haircut experiences, so I've taken matters into my own hands. And then if I mess up I'm the only one to blame. I usually end up cutting my hair after a breakup or when I'm bored. I almost always hate it at first, but that's part of the journey. I've been cutting my hair shorter and shorter recently. Bobs are in baby!!

It's so lawless. You’ll see the weirdest things and no one will care. People are so unabashedly human here. Dead expressions, exhaustion, boredom. You’ll get a coffee, someone else will get a bloody mary, the time is irrelevant. Your priorities will be tested, everything costs at least three times as much as it should, it won’t matter. I love liminal spaces.
