Not necessarily adding extra movement but being intentional and present whenever I’m using my body. Walking up a hill? I’ll consciously align my heels under my shoulders. Lifting a case of wine? Hit that squat deep and lift solely with my legs. Sitting on couch brainrotting? Adjust that spine and reach the top of the head to the ceiling. Resting my hand on my husbands soft curls? Turn that into a scalp massage. If you’re struggling with being active, focus on getting the most out of what you do every day before adding in extra movement. Master your daily rhythm and use every opportunity you can to connect your mind to your muscles, you will automatically be less anxious, more present, and far less likely to hurt yourself.

100%. I've been bad at keeping up on my PT excercises but realized more intentional dog walks with good attention to form are at least somewhat beneficial.

I am 24 and already suffering from lots of hip/neck/shoulder/back pains. All my muscles are just incredibly tense all the time, to the point where the muscles cramp up and give me awful headaches (though thankfully only for a few seconds). The way to improve all this tension? Movement, apparently. I have now set several timers to make sure I dont sit still for multiple hours on end. So far have only noticed small improvements, but Id recommend y'all to give it a go as well. Maybe it can prevent some more serious muscle pains for you x.

sorry you’re going through it. when the mind isn't doing well all you can do is move your body - sitting/sulking can make it worse. just do aimless walks, stretching, basically pretend you‘re at a spa resort and it’s only your only job atm is wellness

I have atrocious back pain from the way I hunch over like a goblin. when I am on a walk and I straighten my posture, I start to feel like I’m lighter as i strut. even though it takes more effort and attention I feel like my legs are carrying less and it’s nice.
