someone i used to be friends with sent me this album and said it reminded her of me.. i didn't listen for a couple years #oops (I forgot and the friendship ended up fading 🤷🏻♀️) but after actually listening I'm like wowowowow yes this is a maddie album and I enjoy it very much! 🎧😍 I think its the first time a friend has suggested music that I actually like lmao I'm sorry but 90% of the songs people show me are either baddd or completely not my vibes...🙅🏻♀️ i think its sweet that these songs reminded her of me.😺 i think in a way she actually saw me for who I am... hope shes doing well <3 today I am thankful for this rec!

Friendship are like one of my favorite bands right now so I am kind of already in the bag for them but I think this album is really good! Its taken me a couple listens to wrap my brain around all the songs but that’s sort of what I like about Friendship in particular. There‘s a certain phrase that gets stuck in your head; a vocal delivery you can’t stop thinking about; a detail in the arrangement that catches your ear, altogether everything adds layers to the song they get you obsessed with different ones at different times.

Last week, I went to see a friend of a friend's band perform at the Williamsburg Music Hall and ran into a music engineering colleague I hadn't seen in a while—we exchanged updates, mine about producing in Argentina and his about being in Ohio for a month. Just a while before that, I'd unfollowed hundreds of people, an attempt to purge myself from slop and banal posting.
After running into him at the show, I of course got served one of his posts on my FYP about a project he’d worked on with an upcoming artist, Avara. I’ve been listening to the album all day—think Jhene Aiko if she were Desi.

i used to be terrified of karaoke!!!😅 i never sang and was scared I'd embarrass myself.. it wasn't until this year I decided to not care about what others thought! it doesn't matter! Nobody cares but me.. its not that serious!!!🤣 so proud of my drunken performance of Iris by the goo goo dolls 😎it suckedddd but the crowd cheered anyways! life is so much fun when you're living for yourself😇
