So one of my favorite podcasts is Welcome to Night Vale, and it’s a sci-fi show narrated by the local radio host of the fictitious town of Night Vale. As part of his show, he says “and now, the weather,” except the “weather” segment is a real song from a real life band or artist. I’ve found some cool songs from this (and some goofy ones, like a still laugh whenever I find myself waiting for the bus in the rain). Animal Skin by Bryan Dunn is the one to come to mind, but I’ve linked the playlist for these songs :)

Welcome to Night Vale is a podcast that came out in like 2012 but they’re still running strong with biweekly uploads and trust me it is the most eerie but enthralling podcast. I have been listening for years at random but I am just now starting from the beginning and going in order hehe.

if you’re into podcasts that have extremely long, overarching stories, try welcome to night vale, the adventure zone or the magnus archives. the adventure zone: balance is peak d&d liveplay podcasting for me, it seriously changed my mental state as a young teen, and it’s funny, emotional and has great music. as for albums, i’ve been loving imogen heap extended editions with instrumentals, like speak for yourself and sparks

1.) The Magnus Archives - horror mystery drama, different types of horror and “fears”, super good and completed with 200 episodes. It has a lot of bonus content and a sequel, The Magnus Protocol, but I haven’t listened to that one yet. 2.) Stellar Firma - by the same people who made The Magnus Archives, ridiculous sci-fi comedy with deeper stuff under the surface 3.) The Hidden Almanac - supernatural comedy, a radio broadcast in a fantasy world, extremely silly, completed with 893 episodes, but each is like 5 minutes long 4.) Welcome to Nigh Vale - a radio broadcast from a very strange town with very strange residents, silly, spooky and heartfelt, ongoing 5.) Old Gods of Appalachia - wild west eldritch horror, very good atmosphere and voice acting, ongoing 6.) The Lost Cat - horror mystery, a man looks for his missing cat in a very bizarre world, with monsters and reality altering shenanigans, completed at 49 episodes

I got him at a particularly difficult point in my life and I’ve had him for 6.5 years now wow!!! He’s always been big, just much larger dimensions than a normal cat as well as being a little chubby lol. He’s a sweetie pie and is finally coming around to his little sister 💛
