My neighborhood doesn’t have enough city-designated green space (don ’t get me started on our need for trees). But this also means that our neighbors get super creative with carving out spaces for plants to grow and thrive. I’m obsessed with this repurposed clawfoot tub full of flowers. Because why not??
If you have any kind of outside space (even a balcony or ledge) this is the perfect project for those who are uncertain about their shit right now. I found out that if you do the right steps, and have the right conditions, your seed will 100% germinate and turn into a beautiful flower. It may not turn out how you expected, but that’s all part of the fun.
Started a journal for the first time in my life recently. Actually game changing, I see now why it’s one of the most common self help practices… like what do you mean I’ll remember to do stuff if I simply take physical note of it? HAHAHA.
Super generic answer but once I made my account last year I realised how poor apps like Twitter etc. are for communicating ideas. Like you can barely form a thought under 200 characters, let alone host an interesting discussion.
Substack certainly has its pitfalls & the notes side of the app can be a little mindless but overall it really encouraged me to follow through on ideas & discussions & journalling more often!
