I have become a bird nerd and it’s taking over my life in a very positive way. To start:
-Download the Merlin Bird ID app. You can use pictures or record audio to ID birds
-(optional) Tell your mom you’re getting into birding because she might send you a bird book and a pair of old binoculars if you’re lucky
-Get outside! I started by sitting on my porch with the app recording and learning about my neighborhood birds. Go to parks, hike, walk to work and look to the trees
