love this book and honestly I think Holden is mostly very sweet and usually correct about things. The way he acts can be immature, but he’s dealing with a lot

@SLOWDAZZLE I even did a whole book report and I ended it with “I hated the main character because he reminded me of my self” after presenting it a girl behind me asks “do you hate your self” I reply yes yes I do

@SLOWDAZZLE lol damn I hope it was inspiring. I didn’t read it til I was like 24. it’s pretty crushing as you figure out why he’s so pessimistic, and i was surprised at how much I like Holden by the end

having the right opinion on the last 5 years musical

how could you possibly watch this musical and think that jrb doesn’t get it and thinks that jamie was right. hello the musical starts with cathy CRYING!!!! at best they are two people who met and married young and grew into the wrong people for each other. at worst jamie literally says he mostly likes cathy bc she’s different and cheats on her. jrb has said jamie is the villain. how could he possibly write that musical thinking he was in the right. please be real
