of course the story is the most important part of reading but another big part for me is getting a screen out of my face, which is why I donāt think Iāll ever read on my phone or anything like that
@SPOOKBUG I still have mine from when I got it as a gift in high school back when I did read regularly enough lol, but now I mostly read physical books from the library if Iām reading at all (working on doing that more). Just as far as screens go, I feel like they defeat one of my purposes for reading, but kindles donāt count because theyāre not like āscreen screensā if that makes sense lol
An indestructible device and my favorite piece of tech. I only read on this and it has increased my reading so much. I banished my phone from my bedroom and read before bed and when I wake up. You can borrow e-books from Libby and send it to your Kindle or f/w Kindle Unlimited. On the 11th gen you can change the warmth of the screen light so you're not looking at blue light before bed. Love this damn thing.
The only way Iāll read. Sorry for killing print media but all acclaim for my work has been published digitally so Iām going to be biased! Itās just so convenient and easy. I love to read in the dark before I sleep and you just can't do that with paper! Pulling one of these out in public is definitely crazy and you do lose the slinky exhibitionism that comes from a whole subway car knowing what hardcover title youāre pouring over, but I really think the pros outweigh the cons. Invest in an e-reader and be one with the future.
Paired with Libby for library books, vital part of a āwind-down with fiction before sleepā bedtime routine (PS: if you buy the kids edition they remove the ads for free, but itās the same device)
I got him at a particularly difficult point in my life and Iāve had him for 6.5 years now wow!!! Heās always been big, just much larger dimensions than a normal cat as well as being a little chubby lol. Heās a sweetie pie and is finally coming around to his little sister š
