This book is one of the modern kings of sci-fi and it is a great entry point for a wide audience of sci-fi readers.

i came across this rec quite randomly and i haven't read sci-fi in so long, i wondered if it would be too much for me but this book was delightfully fun! the main character wakes up from a coma aboard a spacecraft and pretty much has to work his way backward to remembering why he is here, what he is doing here, who even he is, so on. the last sci-fi i had read was the 'artemis fowl' series when i was a kid which i genuinely enjoyed so much that i had quite a lot of expectations for this one- it wasn't what i expected but definitely wasn't a let down too (struggling to review without giving a spoiler so just rambling)

Also, probably pretty good sci fi even if you don't really like sci fi.
