something about Clairo and a funky/jazzy back beat gets me every time, her voice is like floating over punchy kicks, piano, and synths and it’s just ughhh I haven‘t stopped listening to it it’s all I’ve been listening to all day…it feels like the time between summer and fall ion know how else to explain but that feels right
charm as a whole has greatly impacted my summer months but this track has lived with me rent free since it dropped as a single at the end of may. relatable in the sense that it coincided with my seasonal summer blues and this year’s personal Summer of Figuring Things Out About Myself. i’ve grown up and come into my adulthood with many clairo tracks as a backdrop and charm girl summer was no different <3 (honorable mention to “favourite” by fontaines d.c, made me want to hold hands and frolick in a field of summer wildflowers ☺)
charm includes jazz influences, bedroom indie pop, soft sounds for fall vibes. the piano is my favourite thing absolutely slaps. one of few artist whose fame didn't ruin artistry.
retail therapy is my girl, but sometimes the funds are not allowing me to be great so I like to go on diff websites with expensive items, browse, & add to cart as if I can actually afford the items 🤭 can I afford it now? no. will I be able to in the future? maybeeee 👀 it’s really manifesting if you think about it 🙂↔️💅🏽
